Happy 4th Anniversary to AM-540!!!
Years previously, Divine Mercy Radio had purchased time on other radio stations and then had two Low-Power (LP) FM stations (that broadcast about 3 miles in any direction).
That all changed in 2019!
On February 4th of that year, the FCC permits were approved, transmission equipment was properly repaired and the transmitter was fired up in Wendell & Zebulon North Carolina allowing WETC-AM to debut as Catholic 540-AM Divine Mercy Radio!!!
What a journey...such an impact...an amazing ministry to be a part of!
Our 10,000 watt daytime signal reaches over 3 million people in eastern and central North Carolina.
And with our upgrade a few years ago to 4,400 watts at night, our volunteer operated, independent, non-commercial radio station became the largest Catholic radio station in North Carolina.
